Mark started Gloucestershire Equine Vets in August 2021 as an independent practice. He has over 30 years experience as a veterinary surgeon including racing, sports horses and stud services. He has a Thoroughbred called 'For Luck' which he Team chases. Mark also competes in British Showjumping on Sarah's young Sports Horse 'Joes Clover'.
Mary graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019 and went on to work alongside Mark at a previous practice in The Cotswolds, where she was heavily involved in the management of hospitalised cases. She has a particular interest in sports medicine and internal medicine cases. From a young age she has been involved in the equine industry and previously showjumped to national level. She has a black Labrador called 'Nellie' who joins Mary on her calls.
Sarah is Mark's partner, she has worked with horses all her life in a wide range of roles. Sarah has her own lovely young sports horse called Joey who Mark regularly competes. Sarah and Mark also have 2 Springer Spaniels, Sprocket and Merlin.
Isabel has been with us from the start, now on a part time basis while working on her parents farm looking after cattle and sheep. She has her own horse Bertie and Collie Bug.
Charlotte is Mark's daughter and is currently studying her A-levels alongside part time work at the practice. She has a young Irish Sports horse called Lena which she brought over with her from Ireland. Charlotte and Lena enjoy show jumping and long hacks.
